Happy Halloween!!!!!

What a beautiful night we had for halloween in Denver!! I grabbed the coats and pants but no one asked for them. We went Trick or Treating with Paula, Cisco and Kayla. Everyone looked so nice in their customes and I was really surprised that my kids did not want to add blood or guts to their cute outfits. Well...Miyah did wear fangs with her Dora costume. Once again this year Meaghan and Cayla are the true trick or treaters and just wanted to continue to get more candy. Kenzie, Miyah and Ryan were more laid back and wanted to stop after a couple of blocks. Then it was back to Paula and Cisco for a scary movie.

Mackenzie was a fairy.

Miyah was Dora the Explorer (with glow in the dark fangs). Meaghan was the person from the game "Operation". Her pillow popped in the costume so she added a pillow.Micheala was a girl vampire.Ryan was a fire chef.
Marcel was a pumpkin.Paula was the girl from "The Ring".Kenzie, Kayla, Micheala, Meaghan, Miyah and Ryan ready to hit the streets!!!
Cisco and Paula ready to scare the kids.

OK...Bye Mom!!!

Yesterday was Miyah's first day of preschool!!! She has been asking everyday to go to school just like her brother and we have made it possible. Miyah was sooooo excited!!!! I thought that she might be upset and start crying because all of her older siblings have, but nooooooooo Miyah looks at me and says "OK, bye Mom". I am sure that you heard my heart breaking at that very moment, this Mommy was sad and actually cried...I know...I normally have no patience for tears but I cried!!! When I was leaving she sat down on the circle time rug and these little girls said "hooray we have another best friend". How sweet, she made friends. Her teachers are Ms. Anne and Ms. Carman.
When I picked up Miyah she was still eating her snack, she was actually the last one at the table. We now have confirmation that she is fitting right in. When I asked her what her favorite thing about school was she said "Yunch". When I asked her if she was excited to go to school the next day she looked at me like I was out of my mind and told me "no, me not going to school" I guess she needs to be careful for what she wishes for.
Today, I was a little worried when I dropped her off but she did great. The little girl from yesterday came and handed Miyah her name tag...good thing someone knows how to read Miyah's name. I asked her what she did today and she said that she drew her hand print.
I love you MiMiy and you need to slow down just a little bit. I am still enjoying you!!

Another day in the life of Miyah Tomai!!!

Oh golly, I think that Miyah will always make my life interesting!!!! Today we were sitting in the car waiting for Corey and Miyah was sitting with Kenzie getting ponytails put into her hair. Kenzie started telling Miyah to hold still and she then tells me that there is something in Miyah's ear and it looks like the back to an earring and maybe it was starting to look green. I was having a hard time seeing it so we waiting until we were all home and then I could get a better look at it. Well she did have a silver earring back in her ear and it looked like it was pushed back further from the first time I was trying to look at it. Since I THINK that I am a doctor I thought I would try to remove it at home. The first time I tried to take it out I actually pushed it in further...ok now my heart started racing a little faster. I was going to try one more time and if it did not look like I was going to be able to even come close to removing it I would just take her to the doctor. As the luck of the Irish would have it, I was able to get a good hold of it and it came right out, the earring back was starting to have green stuff grow on it...gross...ok so the next question would be how long has it been since I have cleaned Miyah's ears? That is what scares me the most because I do clean her ears after every bath (ok NOT every bath) and I keep thinking that maybe it has been there for a while and I did just keep pushing it in. I really do not look in her ear when I clean it, I just run the q-tip through the outside and just in the opening of her ear. They never covered this in medical school so I may need to do some research to make sure that her ear is ok. After everything was removed from the ear she informed us that there was another one on the other ear. We did not see anything which at this point does not surprise me so I may need to take her in to have her ear checked.
I have to say that Miyah enjoys putting things where they do not belong...we have found a pea and toilet paper stuff in her nose on two different occasions. Tonight we told her that just because there is a hole in her body it does not mean that it is meant to hold things.

Shhh...Don't tell Kenzie!!

Earlier Miyah came in with Kenzie's shin guards, stinky socks and shoes on. A little while later I saw her sitting on the hope chest with Kenzie's bag, one of her soccer shirts, jacket and ball. Miyah wants to play soccer and will ask the girls to go outside with her to play soccer. The unfortunate thing for Miyah is her mom and dad have no more time to allow her to play soccer. We may need to figure something out because she is old enough to play and she has that natural love for soccer like Kenzie did. Miyah is always walking around just kicking the ball with her. Miyah just came by and saw the pictures, she said that "Kenzie will be mad and will say No sissy. Tell sissy NO mama." There you go...Kenzie, Miyah is NOT hurting your soccer stuff...PLEASE do not put your stinky socks back in your bag!!!!!!!!!

Here are some pictures of Miyah in July playing with Kenzie.

Nice win ladies...

Megi's volleyball team won their game last night, they won their first game and now this game. This was a much needed win and they worked hard for it. The girls were on fire, the head coach was cheering and jumping up and down (you know how coaches are...very calm) and the parents and fans were screaming, clapping and having a GREAT time. The third game kept going past the 15 points because it was so close, we would get a point then it would side out to the other team and go on from there. GREAT JOB LADIES!!!!! Let's go and get another win on Friday for Coach Honey Hands...beat her twins team!!!!!
I was playing with the setting on my camera so that I did not need a flash under the gym lights. The pictures came out kinda neat...I like them. You should be able to click on the picture and bring up a bigger picture.
